Travel in Good Company

At Celebrity Cruises, we’re passionate about making positive changes in the world.
With our strategic partnerships, sustainability programs across our fleet, inclusive culture, and best practices onboard and onshore—we’re taking positive action to make positive impacts.

Through our involvement in charitable organizations and activities—from local initiatives in the communities in which we live and work to global projects that affect millions—we aspire to open up the world to make people’s lives better and inspire others to do the same.

Hurricane ReliefRelief Efforts

We’re committed to giving back to our partner destinations during times of need. After Hurricane Dorian, we provided sustained relief through the contributions of our community to help local Bahamians get back on their feet. And following Hurricanes Maria and Irma, we joined forces with World Vision and mobilized our ships to carry aid and supplies to high-impact zones. At Celebrity, we’ll continue to do our part to rebuild together, just like we have in the past.

Meaningful Partnerships 1Meaningful Partnerships

Our partnerships with The Malala Fund, United Way, and Best Buddies continue to help strengthen our commitment to a better world—from local neighborhoods to the global community.

Supporting Women in Maritime

Championing gender equality is in our DNA. We’re committed to increasing the number of women working onboard—and at the helm—of our award-winning ships, and the numbers prove it. This passion emanates from Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo. A champion for diversity, education, and for young women to “raise their hand” as the next leaders of our world, Lisa leads by example by standing up for what she believes in while encouraging others to do the same.

Since becoming President and CEO in 2014, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo has increased the percentage of women working on the bridge from 3% to 27% in an industry where the average is 2%. In addition to appointing the first female American Captain (Captain Kate McCue), she has hired the first female Equadorian Captain (Captain Nathaly Alban) and the first African woman to work on the bridge of a cruise ship (Nicholine Tifuh Azirh.) In 2020, she assembled the first-ever all-female Bridge and Leadership team to “man” a cruise ship.

Making Events Sustainable

Best Place to Work & Travel

Diversity among our guests and crew has always been a key factor in what makes us successful. With our guests—everyone is welcome aboard to discover the world with us. And, with our crew, we embrace individual talent regardless of age, race, sex, gender, disability, or belief, and our awards reflect this.

Environmental Stewardship 1Environmental Stewardship

Through our partnership with World Wildlife Fund, we work to reduce our direct and indirect impact on the environment, and our Save the Waves initiatives help protect and nurture the oceans we sail.

Elimination of Single Use PlasticElimination of Single Use Plastic

We’re on a mission to reduce waste in our everyday business practices. As an example, we’ve eliminated all plastic straws on our fleet, and we continually work to reduce single-use plastics on board.

Leaving the World a Better Place

We proudly sail some of the most environmentally-friendly ships, ensuring the beautiful places we visit stay that way. Keeping our oceans clean doesn’t just make good business sense—it’s critical to the future of our planet. And you don’t have to look far to find examples of our efforts on our ships.

Protecting the world’s seas and the rich marine life they support is a way of life for Celebrity Cruises. This commitment is the foundation of Save the Waves, our comprehensive environmental protection program established by our parent company in 1992. The foundation of our environmental initiatives, Save the Waves began in 1992 and evolved from a recycling program to a company-wide philosophy.

Opening Up The World—For Everyone

At Celebrity, we strive to make every one of our guests feel welcome. That’s why we’ve been awarded LGBTQ+ Friendly Travel Company of the Year at the 2016 TTG Travel Awards and have won the title of Best Large Ship Cruise Line for LGBTQ+ Passengers at the Cruizie Awards for four years running. We’re proud to announce that as of 2017, same-sex marriages performed onboard our ships by the Captain are legally recognized. Whether you join us onboard for a vacation, your honeymoon, or even your wedding, you’ll see why we’re the best cruise line for gay, lesbian, and all LGBTQ+ guests.
